Drawing regular shapes

Using paths

The Rectangle tool draws a closed rectangular path. Click where you want one corner to be, and then drag the rectangle out to the correct size.

If you hold down the Shift key, this constrains the tool, and it draws a square.

The Ellipse tool draws a closed elliptical path. Click where you want one 'corner' to be, and then drag the ellipse out to the correct size.

If you hold down the Shift key, this constrains the tool, and it draws a circle.
